Laundry Room Vinyl Lettering

One of the things I have been so excited to try since I got my Silhouette Cameo is vinyl lettering.  I have been planning to add some vinyl expressions to my home for a while, so doing this on the cheap with vinyl from Oh My Crafts was very fun.  I have a few more projects pending now that I have worked out some kinks.

The chocolate brown color I wanted was not available in rolls when I purchased so I did this in black (ebony).  Also, the smaller font was a major pain to place.  They were only about 2 inches high and very thin and just took forever to stick.  I have learned my lesson for next time and will try block letters or bigger items like the ladies on the cricut forum suggested (I am just stubborn and need to learn the hard way ;) )

Here is my inspiration.  Only $12.99 + shipping on Etsy but still cheaper and more fun at home!!

Bridal Shower Card

One of my favorite co-workers is getting married this month in Maui.  While the rest of the world was watching MMA and Boxing matches, I decided to make a bridal shower card :)

The card shape was made with my Silhouette Cameo at 8 1/4 x 10 1/2 (I had to play with the size in order to work with this envelope)

Here Comes the Bride die cut and bride shape were made with Cricut Sweethearts cartridge on both normal and shadow settings.
I used pop stickers on the bride shape and word.
Bride was also embossed with my Cuttlebug using D’vine Swirls to give it a little more depth

Wedding bands inside were also cut using Cricut Sweethearts cartridge.
Letters were cut using my Cameo but only because it was easier than switching cartridges.
I had vellum heart shapes lying around that I put in between the 2 rings.

The envelope is my favorite.  It was also cut using my Cameo.  I had to play with the sizing to print out the vellum in the shape of lining that would accent this envelope.  The bride’s favorite color is purple and I couldn’t think of a way to incorporate that in the card since her colors aren’t purple so the envelope was what I came up with.

I might go back and add some pearls to make it a little more bridal in design but I was just in a rut and ran out of all creative juices.

Thinking of You - Pirate Ship

I was trying to be cute with this Thinking of you Card.  A friend was having eye surgery and the running joke lately has been around eye patches.
I couldn’t find anything on any of my Cricut Cartridges that I loved and I was still waiting for my Cameo to arrive so I had to improvise a little to get this shape.

I found a cute SVG pirate ship file and used my Sure Cuts a Lot (no longer compatible with Cricut for new purchases) to cut this shape out.  It wasn’t until I started piecing it together that I realized how intricate it really was.
Sentiment is Stampin Up
Cannon balls aka googly eyes (everyone thought they were eyes :( ) are from an old Recollections set I had lying around.

Sympathy Card

Needed a quick simple card for an unexpected passing of a co-worker’s uncle.
I had the ribbon lying around unused from another project.  <3 the $1 bin at Michaels!
The paper is Martha Stewart essentials
Stamp is Stampin Up
Punch behind the stamp was made with my new Silhouette Cameo!  So excited about this!!
