Baby Shower Card - Girl
This is one of my favorite cards I have ever made.
I used my Silhouette Cameo almost exclusively on this one. I first had to decide on a shape for my design. I knew that I wanted an image of a baby carriage so I finally landed on Baby Buggy in the Silhouette market.
I placed my image on my digital mat. I used the offset feature to design the outline pattern I would cut on black cardstock.
Then I used the internal offset feature and played with the spacing until there was just the middle of the card remaining.
I cut my offset in black cardstock and adhered my image using Tombow Glue. I then placed my internal offset pieces in pink, inside the card so there would be room for people to write.
The stork image was also from the Silhouette store and was cut from glitter cardstock that I LOVE. It can be a little hard to work with at first and requires a number 4 on my blade and a double cut. Once you learn to cut it correctly, it is definitely fun material to work with!
I chose a fun font from my existing selection, not sure which one right now, but I think it fits the theme pretty well.
My 3-D ribbon on the back is also a new fave addition. The instructions are a bit strange at first, but easy to create a fancy 3D ribbon with little practice.
And the envelope, of course, is my go to. I had to print diagonal to make the most of the inside envelope size but I think it turned out cute, even on a larger scale.
What do you think?
